Q: The iPhone cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-50)

When I try to sync my iPhone 4, I get an error, it is stated as the following: "The iPhone cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-50)"

The iphone does not sync via Cable or WiFi Sync, the same error occurs.

I thought that a WiFi sync would solve the problem but it doesn't.

Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

Thank you,

I don't know why this whole issue occurs. Just remember that iTunes and iPhoto are two separate programs.

I'm glad to see this solution working for people. I'm sure there is probably another way but, I haven't found it.

I believe it's because I like to add pictures I take, and pictures that I like for wall paper off the Net for all my products. The Net pictures mess with the programing or something. All I know is it's fixed and, I don't need to worry what the heck is going on. Never! will I Sync photos in iTunes ever.

And please, click the "This helped me" in the lower left corner. This will show people that this solution works, and, give me a few points.

    Thanks!!!

I had this with an iPhone 5s i bought on eBay.  Phone either stuck on apple logo or connect to iTunes picture.  All reboot type options failed, local phone shop couldn't repair it.

Fortunately it was under warranty.  Apple could not fix it and I ended up with a replacement handset.

I also did a complete reboot and it seems to be working fine. I did unplug my phone during the reboot.
