I have not been successful in sharing a final cut Pro X project to itunes. It says waiting. I can cancel it, of which I have canceled about ten submissions now, but each time it says waiting. What am I doing wrong here?

Please give us a few more detials to help you out, are you running compressor? What codec are you working in?
I am not running a compressor. I am running the 30 trial version of Final Cut Pro X. I have created and finished a project.
I am running a brand new iMac with the latest OS version. First I a highlight the project to share. I assume just by clicking on it. click share - apple devices - then i select for which machine, (imac) i want it to render it for-select add to itunes- and click share.
Then it opens up the share monitor shows the project in question and says waiting. I can pause it, cancel it but I can not get it past waiting. the time registry under the info selection says 0.00 minutes but still waiting..
I am selecting the project correctly? I have made only one project.
Have you tried sharing while in the timeline editor?
This happens to me all the time, waiting. I do not use the Share function anymore. I let Compressor do the job and it never fails. I must say that Compressor is a must have for all who use FCPX
Yes, I did. Same issue. share monitor says waiting and the timeline is not moving. the share icon has an ⚠ over it, so it if recognizing that it is failing for some reason.
I tried sending it to vimeo, same issue. Can not export.
Since I am using the trial version I don't want to go purchase Compressor so I can export... Still I don't see why it should be an issue.
Apple says the trial version should be fully functional.
Okay, I tried sending to itune this myself and works for me. I have a few questions though for you, when you select the advanced menu when you select "show details" at the bottom of the export to apple devices window is the background rendering set to "none"?

Using none did not work either. It starts to process for about 5 seconds and then switches to waiting, with time remaining unavailable...
Egad, there could be some system conflicts with another program. Try downloading preference manager by digital rebellion(Free) http://www.digitalrebellion.com/prefman/, and trash all the prefs using the program. Do you have FCP7 installed?

Ok, maybe onto something here. I had FCE installed. I removed it. downloaded digitalrebellion, trashed my preferences, and now it is finally processing!! However, it is only a 6 minute video, and it says it has 20 minutes to process. That is a huge chunk of time for a fast machine like this...

It could take that long depending on what codec you are starting from and what quality you you are exporting to, H264 is hard on any computer to compress into. I don't think FCP X will use up all the horse power of your CPU like the app "compressor" would when exporting, so 20 minutes is probably right.
Outstanding. It worked. Thank you for your help. I shot the film on a Canon 7D. imported actually through imovie. Not sure what Codec it is. It did take awhile though, so I am not so sure about purchasing this app. 25 minutes for a 6 minute simple video, seems like a long time.

I have the same issue... I tried to do what you recommend, but... it isnt working.
I made a FCPX project, 1920X1080, (13 min long on a iMac 27´´ with 2.8GH and 4 GB Ram)
I made a custom preset on COMPRESSOR, and hit Share (on FCPX) using that preset.
I have 3 hours waiting to stop... I cant cancell it...
I just dowloaded Digitalrebellion, closed FCPX, and when I start again, there is the original footage, waiting on the queue...
This is frustrating!!
