Pammy, in order to sync music to your Nano, tracks have to be present on the computer to which you connect your Nano.

If you are trying to sync from the computer that houses your original iTunes library (the one that was synced with iTunes Match, and that presumedly includes those purchased tracks) - and you haven't deleted the tracks to reclaim hard drive space after iTunes Match has replicated your library into iCloud - you should be able to sync normally.

If you've deleted the original tracks, or if you're trying to sync from another computer on your iTunes account that has iTunes Match turned on, you'll have to download the files that you want on your Nano by right-clicking on the track (or tracks) in iTunes and selecting 'Download' from the menu that pops up.

Once the track(s) has been downloaded, you should be able to transfer them to your Nano,

I know this works, because I just did it! Good luck!
