I have a version of Logic Pro 6 and also upgarded a year ago into Logic Studio / Logic Pro 9.
I have a new iMac with osx 10.7 lion. I am trying to install Logic Pro but as I am aware that power pc softwares will not function anymore how wil I get Logic to work on Lion? I mean I have Logic Studio but I have to install Logic 6 and then do the "upgrade". How will I do that? Is there a work around?
Please let me know what to be done.

You already found out why your old version doesn't run anymore. An update is trivial: just go to the Mac App Store and buy Logic Pro 9 for $199. No serial numbers or anything to worry about.
Why should I buy a new logic if I already have the Logic Pro 9 ?
I am not sure you understood me. I HAD a Logic 6 and bought an upgrade already into Logic 9.
Ahh, then just install Logic Pro 9 from the DVDs you received with your upgrade.
so if i discard the older cds I will not be missing any components? I assume according to what you are saying I will simply have to give in my logic pro 6 serial and the upgrade?

All the content from L6 should be there.
You may only need to plug in your L6 XS key??
