Well, aside from the fact that no one here really cares what phone you buy (no offense intended, but seriously, why shoi ld we?) - it ain't gonna happen. Might as well sell the iPhone now and go get your 'roid device.

Jul 11, 2013 6:16 AM in response to Johnathan Burgerby Kevanch,I merely want a machine to do a job consistently and properly. I do not care how old Flash is. If I cannot visit normal sites using standard, widespread, accepted technology, then this iPad is a total waste of time. I would be better off with an old, heavy laptop. At least it works and equipment that meets customer needs is the absolute bottom line. Never much liked Microsoft for its flaky OS software and habit of charging customers to be its test lab rat. Now Apple is telling me what I cannot watch. What absolute arrogance.

Jul 11, 2013 6:25 AM in response to Kevanchby tonefox,As siad hundreds of times: Adobe never developed a Flash Player for iOS, and Adobe is now not developing Flash for any mobile device from any manufacturer. There are still people using floppy disks. It doesn't mean that every machine has to include a floppy disk drive.

No Apple is doing nothing of the kind.

Using your logic... since Ford sells trucks, Ford is telling you that you can't ride a motorcycle. Clearly your logic is quite flawed.
If you don't like your iPad, quit complaining, sell it and purchase something else.

Jul 12, 2013 11:46 AM in response to paulcbby Kevanch,Your point about buying a Ford product is fine as far as it goes. If, however, by buying tht product I suddenly found half of the public roads closed off to me, I would be more than a little upset. Lots of websites use Flash yet the standard Apple browser does not have a mechanism for dealing with this, which makes the product not fit for purpose. How come other browse4rs can do it and not Apple? This is total nonsense. As far as changing the unit is concerned, I have only jsut got it and am in a two year contract, so I am screwed. Please do not expect me to feel good about this. It never entered my head that a company such as Apple would produce something that precluded a chunk of the internet.

Don't know if it is logical, but it is incorrect. There are plenty of free sources of content available for iOS devices.
