my iphone 3gs is disabled and can only make emergeny calls, what do i do?

I have an iphone 3gs that my "friends" thought would be funny to enter the wrong password multiple times, the phone is now disabled and I can only make emergency calls, itunes says to enter passcode, but not able to due to emergeny call mode, what do I do, I have never synced to itunes before, just got this phone.
