Q: how to change the name of the Iphone 3GS to synchronise it

I want to chang the name of my Iphone, because i give it to my wife, and i have a new one for me.

We have the same count in Itunes

iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.0.1

    What you should do is erase the 3GS. That way, you can plug it into iTunes, name it what you want & your wife can sync whatever content she wants to the phone. You have two choices to erase: 1. On the phone itself, Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings or 2. Plug it into iTunes & restore as a "new" device. I'd suggest making sure your wife has an Apple ID that is a verifiable email address first. You'll need that to take advantage of iMessage, FaceTime, etc. You can share iTunes content, but you both need separate ID's for the rest.
