Since updating my Lion Server to 10.7.3 I am having a problem with incoming mail not getting through. This worked prior to the upgrade, but now I get the following error in mail.log for the smtp server:

Feb 27 08:46:57 xyzserver postfix/error[53472]: 8F6FA54A0BC: to=<me@xyz.com>, relay=none, delay=18859, delays=18859/0.12/0/0, dsn=4.4.1, status=deferred (delivery temporarily suspended: connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024: Connection refused)

Any thoughts on why this is happening? I have tried trawling the internet but have not come up with anything.

I seem to have removed the problem by unchecking "Accept SMTP relays only from these hosts and networks". The two IP addresses specfied for this are 127.000/8 and 10.0.0.0/24, and this worked previously to stop the mail server being an open relay and hence spewing spam out across the internet.

However now it seems to stop any connection, whether relaying or sending mail to the server. Has there been a change in the behaviour of this setting with 10.7.3? I haven't seen any reference to this before...
