Anyone have an updated response to this?
To what exactly? This is a forum for an OS version from many years ago. If you are not running 10.7, please click the link below and go to the forum devoted to your current OS version and post details of what your problem is
See if Option CMD Space works.

In OS X.7 (Lion), I switch between Thai and English by using the Apple-Command - Spacebar. However, by default, Apple-Command - Spacebar is mapped to the "Spotlight". To configure this, I did the following:
1) in System Preferences, choose "Spotlight" under the "Personal" row and uncheck the Spotlight "Menu" and "Window" shortcuts at the very bottom of the dialog box
2) again, in System Preferences, under "Personal" row, select "Language & Text" settings
3) click the Input Sources tab
4) click the "Keyobard Shortcuts" button
5) Select "Keyboard & Text" in the left column selection
6) Scroll to the bottom of the right column and check the last two boxes to switch between input sources
And Bob's your uncle, and you're done!
Hope that helps!!!

Hi everybody! I am very new to mac, and I was wondering if it's possible to set my own icons combination for changing languages, and I have a choice of 3 languages. I used to have a certain combination while on Windows, I could set up the same on Linux that i've been using for a while. Thanks for your time and help in advance!
Thanks Bro, now i can work faster in Arabic Class 🙂
Thank you. this was not intuitive without your post
If you're using iTerm2 it helps to deselect "Open spotlight search window" in keyboard shortcuts and using that keybinding for the dropdown terminal.
So spotlight is ⌘␠
keyboard input is ⌃␠
and terminal is ⌃⌘␠
