loses thunderbird connection

I have the server version of the Mac Mini and a Promise Pegasus R4 arrayt at my research site.

The Thunderbird connection seems to drop from time to time and it leaves the Pegasus in a hung state.

Anyone else having trouble with their Thunderbird drive arrays?

Mac mini Server (Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3)

do you have the energy-saving, spin-down drives option checked off in system preferences?

If you search the iMac section for "Pegasus" you'll find a number of very long threads detailing peoples experience with the Promise drives.
