Airport Utility cannot find my Extreme or Express?

Same issue, utility will all of the sudden not find my express base station but shows the extender . . . maybe a new bug?

I think you didn't connect to the AE.In the wirless network connection you click connect to your AE.

After that I think airport utility can find your AE.

Hi, found an answer to this on web

1) Ensure that AE is sending a signal out (ca. 45s after at reset)

2) To see this signal first go to the wifi and connect to the net that AE send out - name: "Apple xxxxx.."

3) Start up Airport Utility and AU will now see your AE
