Why won't my Apple TV connect to my iTunes library for Home Sharing?

My Apple TV won't connect to my iTunes library for Home Sharing. I have tried resetting and restoring the Apple TV, as well as updating all of the software on my computer (Which is running Mac OS X Lion and iTunes 10). I have also reset my router, and re put in my network information into Apple TV. Both my computer and the Apple TV are connected to the same wifi network and home sharing is turned on in iTunes and on Apple TV.

Any help would be appreciated!

AppleTV 2, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Re: Solution for Apple TV 2, Xfinity router, Ethernet connection and Home Sharing

You may need to configure some ports on your router for port forwarding. Before you do, you may want to try setting the Apple TV date and time to manual but have the time zone be the same as your computer that is running iTunes.

The link is to a more aggressive approach that will solve your connectivity problem. Your equipment may not be the same but the configuration changes is what you are looking for here.
