How do you right click on Mac Book Pro for Windows?

I'm re-activating this thread for Windows 10 (vers 1607, current as of this post) on a MacBook Pro w/ Touch Bar. All the previous advice does not apply (for example, there is no "Boot Camp" utility on my Windows partition....perhaps they renamed it?).

To my knowledge, there is no way to right-click. Not even ctrl-click works. Furthermore, there is no 2-finger trackpad functionality and the touchbar is completely blank when booted into Windows. My guess is that the drivers for this relatively new hardware just aren't available yet. Can anyone give me a right-click solution given this information? I've run the Apple Software Update and there isn't an update available.

Do you have a two button mouse?

Or hold the control key and left click.

Bootcamp should have installed drivers to allow this to occur.

The same way you do on the Mac side. Use the right mouse button or two finger click on the trackpad.

You can also set it to right click with a lower Right Hand Side click for Right Click.

What obstacles? Right click works fine in Windows on a trackpad or a mouse. As already suggested above, did you install the Boot Camp tools? The tools provide a control panel where you can set how you want right click to work.

When in Windows go to control panel and then the Boot Camp Applet. Make changes in there for the trackpad.

It is not a OS or computer obstacle. It is a User Obstacle.

The trackpad will function basically the same in both OSes if you know how to adjust it properly.

while I was waiting on an answer I went back to the IT guy and he gave me a snow leopard disk and I erased the HDD and reloaded the OS then I opened Boot Camp Assistant to partition the HDD now I am up to loading the OS, this time I am trying to load XP instead of Vista but it is not recognising the XP disks, any ideas why please? There's nothing wrong with my disk so why is it not recoginising the XP disk but the vista disk?

If you got a late version of Snow Leopard it may have the newest version of Boot Camp which will only allow you to install Windows 7.

What version of OS X came on your Mac when you bought it?

Also if you are going to run Win XP you'd be better off installing it into a Virtual Machine instead of haviing a Dual Boot system.

But that depends on what you are going to use Windows for. If it's just to run Some Windows programs, Not Games, then the Virtual Machine is the way to go. you can have both OS X and Windows running at the same time

But if you plan on running Games then Dual booting is better.

and for some reason got mixed up and posted here and this time it worked. Well while I'm here I may as well seek other workable options, I simply need to run a windows music software on the mac and others have used it without any problems via bootcamp so that is why I am going that way, all is well except for the rightclick issue in Vista and seeing in this thread you mentioned:

That was not showing in Vista's control Panel so I redid everything and this time trying Windows 7 to see if the rightclick problem will still exist.

Make sure you run the Boot Camp Update software system, In Windows that is, as there are new updates for Boot Camp and Apple supplied Windows drivers. Without those updates the trackpad won't work correctly.

You should be able to set it 2 different ways.

1) clicking on the Lower Right Hand side of the trackpad.

2) 2 Finger Click anywhere

Either should give you a Right Click.

You can also try holding down the Command or Control key, Sorry I forget which key, and click the trackpad.

So that seems to be at the heart of this problem, I don't have that option to download the windows support as that option is not showing in the Boot Camp Assistant, is there an alternate way to get it?

Well first you do need the Apple Windows Support software which is all the drivers and the like for the hardware in the Mac. You download that through Boot Camp Assistant in OS X.

Then when Windows is done installing you install the Apple Boot Camp Support software when Windows boots for the first time. Then once that is in done In Windows you open Control Panel and the Boot Camp Applet and run Software Update to get the most current drivers and any other updated software currently available.

That is the problem I am having, I am not getting the screen in Boot camp assistant which gives that option as the other guy who is trying to help shows in his screenshot below, I did not see that option in either lepoard and Snow leopard, can you tell me please exactly which software you are seeing that option so we can try to narrow this down?
