IPOD NAMING PROBLEM

I have two iPods. One touch and a classic wheel type. I can't synch one of them because I named them both the same. Now I get an error message that states "duplicate file name cannot synch". What do I have to do to change the name of one of them. I changed the device name in my computer but has no effect on the itunes program. Got any ideas on how to get this resolved? Thanks
