My Iphone 4S won't send/receive text messages to certain people??

I have been having some issues recently with my iphone 4s. I can't send and receive group text messages to some certain people. It looks like the people that have imessage are getting them but the contacts that don't have this option or that are with a different carrier are not getting my texts and I am not getting their texts!!! Can anyone help me with this problem!!!!!!!!!!!

Try disabling iMessage.

I had this same problem. I could send group messages to people that had iPhones, but when ever I tried to send a group message to people that don't have iPhones, it would never go through. I was searching and searching for an answer, and I finally found it.

I went to the Settings --> Messages --> Group Messaging

Turn OFF Group Messaging

Doesn't make sense, but it worked for me. Hope it works for you too.
