Hi I'm really stuck ,I have tons of music I love on my g4 (I haven't used it for an age and this isnv.bad ,but it's running o. Osx9,,),I have iPhones and iPads that I just use more ,for obvious reasons .I have the snow Leopars disk ready to install ,but I don't have a Lacey drive ,or anything to hold the music whilst I wipe the mac and upgrade it ,I have an iPhone 4 & an iPad 2 ,also I can use a pc ,buti do t use them and am not capeable of much ,I have older iPods etc too ,is there anything ,I can do right now ??please help no music misery....

Sorry, but I can't understand what it is you're asking. Your post is rather jumbled, so it's vrery difficult to make out what it is you wish to do.

Attempting to sort out what you're talking about, though, a PowerBook G4 cannot run Snow Leopard, so if you're trying to install that on your PowerBook, it's not going to work. The last version of Mac OS X that would run on a G4 PowerBook was Mac OS X 10.5.8 "Leopard", if your G4 has a 867MHz processor or faster, or Mac OS X 10.4.11 "Tiger" if it doesn't. Mac OS X 10.5 is required for support of the more recent iOS devices.

If that doesn't answer your question, please post back and clarify (using fewer commas will help make your posts easier to read).
