Itunes Global volume adjustment

My iTunes went through my entire music library and adjusted the song volume on each individual track and I was wondering if there is a way to undo this or delete it or something?

When I add new songs from someone elses computer it automaticly does it to the song (see red underline below)

It is not the song adjustment bar, all of them are set to none.

I also have soundcheck disabled and it has always been disabled.

And when I burn songs to CD's I am almost positive it burns the songs at a lower decibel

What iTunes is doing is "normalizing" the playback, so differences in volume levels are minimized on playback. This is a good thing!

It does not affect the original file, so burning of CDs is not affected. The original track files are not modified.

You can turn this Off in Preferences/Settings> Playback> Sound Check.

From the same link that Limnos provided:

"If you turn Sound Check off, the Sound Check data stored for each song is ignored, but not removed from the iTunes Music Library or the ID3 tags."

I.e., if it's off, then iTunes doesn't change volume playback at all. Since the original file's volume is also not changed, you have no issues left to deal with.

Check all Sound Check settings including all iPods and burn settings. Once enabled in iTunes it enables it in other places as well. Burn settings is a good example. Right click a playlist choosing "Burn playlist to disk", if Sound Check is checked un-check it and click the Burn button. Do not put in a blank CD but click the small "x" in the iTunes display at the top beside "Please insert a blank disk...". It will cancel the burn but make the changes take effect.
