On the browser's last page of website, cannot engage the index ...

I have 3 other websites using the same format of the INDEX displayed on top of each webpage. The current one I have constructed was all right until I added 2 more pages [total of 27 pages; another site has 38 pages with no problems engaging the Index when on the last page].

Upon checking the 'publish site' on the server [Safari] before uploading, when I was on the last page, I could not engage other pages on the Index. I noted this occurring on a friend's computer [MacBook using Safari] — after the website had been uploaded — thinking it their problem. However, when the same inaccessiblity to engage the Index occurred on my browser, I am concerned. It means I have to use the 'Back' command to re-engage the Index.

Is this specific to this new published website as 'server' related, or is it an iWeb glitch?

Rather strange when I have not encountered the problem on my other published websites until I was at my friend's computer's Safari browser [Snow Leopard] and today on my own Safari browser [Lion] for this new website.

HELP!

Jeff,

The situation is worsening, I just did another 'publish to web' from iWeb and now when I go to the 2nd last page, I cannot engage the Index to go the others or the last page. Not sure of what is going on, but it has never occurred before.

Before I do any publishing from iWeb I always empty my history and cache to ensure the browser is not cluttered especially when performing an upload.

HELP! Again!

I think what is happening is you have something overlapping your navigation "links"

there are a couple of items overlapping the navigation and, I am not sure what they are. But, all the links are there:

If you cannot find what is over lapping your navigation you may want to duplicate one of your other pages & add the information for your "Acknowledgements" Page

Hope I am not duplicating myself, but I could not find my original reply. This may be a problem for the charity group I am working for to have two websites that split-up the contents. Also, to have to pay for another one.

I have not uploaded the updated version which has a second 'Acknowledgements' page that is titled 'Acknowledgements-Page 2. This could be where the overlap is occurring. I will rework the second page, which I had duplicated from the first one. Perhaps, this is where it compounded the situation.

Will check back with you about the results.

It appears that I have glitched the whole website by adding the second Acknowledgements' page. I had to do this because I had more people to add to the first page and ran out of room.

I have done this before with other website without problems. Wyodor's suggestion frightens me because I do not think having 2 websites for the same organization will work as explained in my reply.

2 websites in iWeb would be similar to 2 folders on your harddrive "computer"

You would end up with something like "http://lanark-baldersonpastoralcharge.ca/Welcome%21.html" for part of the site and "http://lanark-baldersonpastoralcharge.ca/site2/Acknowledgements.html" for the other.

But, thinking about it I'm not sure how you would link the 2 together without making your own navigation & and if your making your own navigation there would be no need to split the site into 2 sites.

You could make the "Acknowledgements" Page longer by simply adding a text box under the the image box:

with a text box under this image or alternately change the page heighth in the inspector tab you can make this page pretty tall / long
