the internal speaker in my 4th gen touch stop working, i can plug the headphones in and it still plays sound through them, when i unplug the headphones it wont play sounds outloud how would i fix it?

- Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup[
- Restore to factoy defaults/new iPod
If still a problem you very likelu have a hardware problem. Likely a problem with the headphone jack. An appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store would be a good idea.

im going to try and restore it, i think thats the only thing i havent done yet, but this happened right after i put a new screen in it, and around the same time i did that was when i updated it to the latest software, do you think it could be becaue of one of those things?
Likely you did something whenyou replaced the screen. There is a contact in the headphone jack that tells the logic board that the headohne is insered so that the internal speaker is turned off. There is likely somethng wrong in the circuit.
