how do you forget a network on a iphone 4
iPhone 4
Settings>Wi-fi>select the network>select "Forget this Network"
forget this network is not there
i have an iphone 4 version 5.0.1
This only works when the network is in range. Tap the arrow (">") to the right of the network name. Forget this network should be at the top of the screen.
It should be there. I have an iPhone 4 as well running 5.0.1 and I have the option.
Make sure you are in range of the network like Lawrence said.
my problem is, my office installed a new WiFi it is the same name and password as the old one there are 2 of us in the office with iPhone 4. the rest have blackberries. the blackberries work fine with the new WiFi but the iPhone do not connect to the WiFi. we have full bars and a good password. so I though if I would have the iPhone forget the network I could start all over. the problem is that "forget this network" will not come up unless I login to the network.
They took away that option with iOS6. I hope they decide to bring it back. If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it.
The solution is:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Good luck!
The "Forget This Network" option shown above is present if you're logged in, but it is not there if you're not logged in.
I think that was the point.
What happens if you travel a lot and connect to many different hotel wifi's for example. Will your phone get clogged up with multiple unused wifi's??
If you reset network connections... don't you also lose your bluetooth connections and have to reenter passwords into all your regular wifi's you need to use.
Thanks.
No, you don't lose Bluetooth. Only WiFi.
Thanks. Is their any gain to reset network connections periodically??
Not that I've noticed.
