Red Giant'sMagic Bullet Denoiser is crashing/blocking/something a very important project that I am close to finishing. I have applied the filter to several clips with good success. It has been working fine with FCP till now.

It tells me the serial number is invalid and to download the with original installer (above). The problem is that Magic Bullet doesn't offer it anymore...

I can't open the project without getting this message over and over agin to the point where the project won't do anything.

A possible smoking gun....

Last night, while trying to watch some web content I tried to update Adobe Flash player. Couldn't play the content so I used APP Cleaner to wipe all existance of the flash player from my computer to start again fresh. While I was at it I thought I would clean off some trail versions of other Adobe products. App cleaner moved a bunch of files related to Adobe over to the trash. Still couldn't play the content...forget it went to bed.

Now I have the problem above.

What I have tried....

First, relaxed breathing.
Searched all over the net - nothing.
Then I checked the trash since I haven't deleted what ever AppCleaner put there. Found these:
com.redgiantsoftware.MagicBulletDenoiser.FCP.plist

com.redgiantsoftware.MagicBulletDenoiser.plist

***??? I never touched Magic bullet.

Restored them to library/preferences folder. No Go...

Tried to run a backed up version of the project from Time Machine. No go...Tried to run an older version on a clone No Go....

Best option is to be able to use DeNoiser still but obviously I just want to finsih my film.

What should I do to get back into the project?

Any ideas are welcome....

Tried something.....I found a solution!

-Opened up FCP in project that has no Denoiser filters applied to the timeline.

-applied the filter (as it was still installed as a plug-in)

-clicked the filters tab

-clicked the "register" button

-entered the serial and it regsitered

-opened precious project

-closed the other

Seems to be working for now. Hope this helps any others with the same problem.
