Having problems with ethernet port. Not the cable or the router as another machine works just fine. Unable to get link.

Any ideas?

Does it show up in System Profiler>Network?

Does it show up in System Preferences>Network as a port?

Try booting into Safe Mode so as to eliminate any 3rd party drivers.
