I can't read my voucher redemption code!!!

I was scratching the code and there was a spot that was not was not scratching off for whatever reason. Now I can't read 3 of the characters of the code, rendereing it useless. I am working for an after school program and the card was purchased through that. It is worth $1000 dollars in iTunes. Please tell me what we need to do to rectify this situation.
