Why am I not able to do screen capture photos on my macbook pro lately? I use command/shift/4, get the camera image and click, then get a message saying "your screen shot can't be saved. Unable to capture image." I am using Lion 10.7.3 I have always been able to do these in the past....

Screen capture saves the files to the desktop. Can you save anything else to the desktop? If not you may need to repair home directory permissions. You can also try using Grab (it's in Applications -> Utilities) which offers more flexibility.

Thanks. I can save other things to the desktop. On your advice I tried Grab...and it works just fine, and I can save Grab images to the desktop, or other locations with no problem.
