Microtuning using Logic - other tunings fail to load

Scala tuning tables other than those provided by Logic fail to appear or load.

Until recently it was possible to put other scala tuning files into the Tuning Tables folder in Library/Application Support/Logic, and they would appear in the list of microtunings and run correctly. The recent updates now seem to ignore all microtunings in this folder except those which are provided with the latest update of Logic Pro 9.

The kind of file (specified in the file header) for the microtunings which will run is scala and it seems that any other kind e.g. text is ignored. What is the story and how can users add other microtuning tables so that they will function in Logic Pro 9?

I am running Logic Pro 9.1.6 64bit Lion 10.7.3 on MacBook Pro.
