Hi, does Samsung HD105SI works on iMac?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.5)
What iMac? Imacs built between late 2006 & 2009 will use any 3.5" SATA drive. If the Samsung is a 3.5" SATA drive and your machine was built between 2006 & 2009 then it's fine.
my iMac EMC2134. I replaced the old one, but it does not recognize it. what can I do?
Google tells me that is a mid 2007 iMac and Google also tells me the Samsung HD105SI is a 3.5" SATA drive. So yes it will work.
If the drive is not recognized then it was installed incorrectly or a cable is damaged or the drive could be defective too.
yes, that's correct, my imac is mid 2007.
when I turn on my iMac there comes a folder icon with question mark?! does it means that it does not recognize HDD or something else?
Please look over Flashing question mark appears when you start your Mac for troublshooting. I suspect the HD has not been formated. Re-start from your oringinal OS X Install Disc, choose the language, then choose Utilities, then open Disk Utilities, then select the HD on the left pane and choose Partition and follow the directions beginning in Step 2 of:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1600
Once the drive is correctly partitioned then continue the Install process from your OS X disc.
Thank you for your assistance, it works great...
Your welcome.
