iCal Reminder Leap Year problem

I noticed today (2/29/2012) that I wasn't able to set the date of a reminder in iCal to today's date. I would set it to 2/29 and it would change itself to 2/28 when I saved it. Further investigation showed that if I set it to 3/1/2012 it would change itself to 2/29/2012 and show as "Today". This now happens for any date in 2012. If I set a date of 4/1 it shows as 3/31. This appears to go forward into next year as well. If I set a date of 4/1/2013 it shows as 3/31/2013. This is running Lion 10.7.3 with iCal version 5.0.2.
