I bought the logic pro suite as soon as I saw what was possible with a simple keyboard controller and a Mac Book Pro. I have fully invested myself in my professional music career with this suite. I bought it for the Mainstage application. I enjoy the benefits of the other components of this software. I am not even upset that you can now buy the mainstage component by itself from the app store. That is simply the natural evolution of software and marketing. I am wondering however if there might be some consideration of a remote app configuration for the mainstage app the would apply to someone who has an iPad. I own a number of music business related apps that allow for the main program to run on my mac book pro with a remote client either on my iPhone or my iPad. I think this is an important and necessary evolution of the logic pro (or at least) mainstage app.

I have 3 different apps purchased from the app store that I use to manage my performance notes..... ie: lyrics ... sets ... and the like.

This is done from an iPad that is hanging from my mic stand at the front of the stage. It would be beautiful to be able to manage my Mainstage Concerts from a similar app on the same iPad. I don't have a problem with the core work being done on my Mac back stage. I am at this point though beginning to wonder why I have to walk anywhere from 5 to 30' to get to a mac that could be easily BT'thd to my iPad downstage.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I do personally prefere AC7 Core, but there are many apps that can work for that. some names are: TouchOSC, onstage remote, trixmix 2.

They are midi controllers, all you have to do is set them on the same wifi network and map your MS layout to your ipad midi controls.

I think if you scrub the AppStore you can find many others viable for the same task.
