MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 2.8(15-inch, late 2008) Anti Blinks???

Hi all,


finally something happen....


I can't test it untill this night, anyone have try it?!


Please share your test about the upgrade!

I've had the same problem as you: The MacBookPro wouldn't install the firmware update, SoftwareUpdate came always with the firmware update.

I've installed the update four times - nothing (if successfully installed, Boot-ROM-Version will rise from MBP51.007E.B05 to MBP51.007E.B06)


I did PRAM-Reset - nothing. I deleted rEFit - nothing.


I replaced some time ago the internal Superdrive with a SSD-drive - parallel with the harddrive.


Finally I've booted from the harddrive, did successfully the update - everything went fine.


Problem solved.
