The Volume I use for my library (and editproxies.bundle) is full. I archive underused material to create space but this strategy has an endpoint also as the editproxies remain after archiving and are slowly eating up the remaining space. What's the best strategy to expand this capacity? Should/Could I simply attach another external Raid1 volume and start "Library 2"?
You could move your Edit Proxies device to a new dedicated Volume to free up space for your Library. What kind of storage are you using for the current one?

I currently use 2 internal HD's in a tower setup as a Raid1 Volume (currently 2T capacity). I periodically search for large assets that are not likely to get used a lot and archive to an external Raid5 NAS to free up space. The editproxies.bundle is now over 1T.
How would one go about moving the editproxies.bundle to another drive without breaking all existing links?

Copy the Edit Proxies bundle to your new Volume, then change the device settings to point to the new path.

Note: Always remember to make a FCSVR database backup prior to making changes in the Administration window.
I assume I could do the same with the Library?
Yes. And you can edit the path to the Library using either the Preference Pane or the Admin window. I still recommend a backup prior to making the change.

I have backed up and just hooked up a new Guardian Maximus 4T Raid 1 and I'm copying the Library to now (aprox 4 hours) are there any other components that need to go with the Library folder?
If you are only moving your Library device, all you have to move is the Library folder. Once it's copied, change the path to the new location in the device settings.
