Unhook Thunderbolt.. Do I just pull out the T-bolt cord at the end of the day of use ?

Okay so.. get to work with a new 13' MB-Pro plug in thunderbolt cable and mag-safe.. Thunderbolt up and running all day... True JOY !

Now.. Its time to unplug stuff.. What is the "right way" to disconnect T-bolt cable from my MB-Pro..?? Just pull out ??

I have no other HD attached just the MB-Pro..

Not in the manual, can't seem to find the answer online either... I have been left to assume I just pull out T-bolt cable .. and display dies instantly of course..seems harsh to me.

Thx for any help.

you are correct. There is no mention in the manual, over the internet nor Apple support docs. I have been following the reverse order of the manual. Shutting off the MBPro then remove the two connectors. I'm sure in the near future this will be explained by apple support. It does seem to defeat the purpose of this particular hardware setup. One would think even if the MBPro was in deel sleep that one could pull the two connectors and move with the sleeping MBPro to another area.

I eject the USB harddrive I use through my Thunderbolt display, but after that I just pull the cord and never have any issues. I switch between my Thunderbolt and my HDTV for movies and I need to use a mini displayport to HDMI adapter for that (becaues for some inexplicable reason the Thunderbolt port on the back of the display can't power a non-Thunderbolt display).

Restarting my Mac every time I unplug the display would make me want to sell the display in about 4 days.
