LCD HELP!

Hello,
I was wondering if it was worth it paying the extra money to buy a 19" instead of an 17"?
I was currently looking at these two models : Sony's SDMHS95PS 19" Silver HS Series Display with XBRITE™ LCD Technology SDMHS95PS http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/ProductDetailDisplay?storeId=10001&lang Id=-1&catalogId=10001&productId=1001031&navigationPath=32009n32180n33002

And the Samsung SyncMasterTM 730B-Black (17 inch monitor) http://www.samsung.com/ca/products/monitor/lcd_digital/bi17bssb.asp

Forget the price on the sony website, I have a much better one. It's actually 100$ more for the 19" compared to the 17".

So once again, what should I get? And if you guys have more suggestions of monitors, anything will be apreciated!

Thanks a lot!
Justin

Hello Sargenie,
Go in the "System Preferences" then click on the display icon. Follow that by choosing the best resolution for your monitor. Now click on the "color" tab, and click "calibrate". Turn on the expert mode and follow this link : http://www.macworld.com/2005/07/secrets/augustdigitalphoto/index.php. Do it a couple of times to be able to choose the best one, and you should be all set!

Justin.

I will follow what you suggested but I am in a bind with the 960BF at the moment. I installed MagicTune and tried to fine tune my display. What a mess. Now I have rainbow colored text, text that goes fat then thin and it repeats as I type. I have neon icon I am unable to set font smoothing as that turns on the rainbow colored text. I have written to Samsung asking them to call me to fix this. I only wanted to adjust a few things and the whole monitor went heywire.

Once I get it back to factor default I will never use that magicmess software and will do what you have suggested.

Leon
