How do i remove or delete the red pin on the map app when it dropped?
iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1, white apple
Yes, a lot going wrong. I've noticed that on earlier posts that I replied to, and I believe you were involved in one regarding photo albums.
The label that is with the pin. Touch the blue arrow to the side of it and then touch where it says Remove Pin.
EDIT: I just re-read what you said. If it is a red pin, it is from a searched address. In that one, you have to cancel the search and the pin will go away.

Can't remove dropped pin from every method. I finally got to a page where I could Edit everything. It was so infuritating: IT PUT THE RED MINUS SIGN NEXT TO EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE DROPPED PIN. Apparently accidentally dropped pins are sacred and must be kep until the end of time!
Red pins appear in Maps if you search for an address, or if you you tap on an address in your Contacts. To remove the pin from a search, tap on the X to the right of the search box at the top of the map. That will remove the search, which removes the red pin.
im talking about red pin chris not the blue pin,i know how to remove blue pin but the red

pardon me so much info needs know how on this iphone i mean i love it but so much to b learned when u searc for an address it will drop a red pin but no insight on how to remove it
Re-read my post. I added information on how to remove the red one. Just delete the search. Touch the address you searched, the box expands and you can touch the "X" and it will disappear.
Thought we were stuck in the Twilight Zone. 🙂
