Does Apple adhere to Google's _nomap router location optout?

Does anyone know if Apple is implementing the " _nomap " opt out that Google created for users to remove their WiFi router form their location data base. According to Google's blog it seems to have been done in response to pressure from the EU. Has the EU put any pressure on Apple to do the same?
