i forgot my restriction password for my ipod touch what do i do?

Maria, when you say "restriction password", do you mean the backup password, the pin to unlock the device, or the removal password for iPhone Configuration utility?

The only way to recover from a lost restrictions passcode is the same as if you lost the device passcode.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Or do you mean the password to the Restrictions in the General settings? If that's what you mean, if you've forgotten that password, all you can do is restore the iPod as a new device, which will erase all your data and settings.

You have to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. Restoring from backup will only restore the unknow Restrictions passcode.
