I run software update. It gives package authoring errors in the log.

In my log I see: package authoring: my.result.title and my.result.message not defined or empty. OS x 10.6.8 macbook pro 5,1

mbp 5,1 ocz vertex, Mac OS X (10.6.4), fusion 3 w2k3 svr 64
