Telus Carrier versus AT&T

Dear Support Team, I have iphone 4. As I was in Canada, I had Telus as a Carrier but when I came to US, my cell showed AT&T automatically as a carrier. Therefore, I went to AT&T shop and purchased a mini-SIM card from AT&T with a new plan. They told me that it should be no problem and they inserted the SIM card and tried several times to connect to their net but it was impossible; even they changed their SIM card three times but it did not work. Finally, I took my old SIM card from telus and inserted again to the iphone. It worked again with AT&T carrier in the USA trough Telus Canada.

NOW! My contract with Telus is over. How can I use my iphone with AT&T again?

I would appreciate if I could receive the reply.

No. Telus would need to release the carrier lock on your iPhone for it to work with AT&T. As Steadman1 stated Telus does not unlock iPhones. Similar as AT&T do not unlock iPhones either. You wither need to go the new unlocked route or start a 2 yr contract with AT&T if you're eligible.
