iPod Touch Sync Error 13109 - Standard Troubleshooting Does Not Work

Hello all,

I have a 4th gen iPod touch that was syncing perfectly fine until two days ago and now I receive a sync error: error 13109 on every attempt to sync.


I tried the tips listed here:

This actually made my issue worse because now only about 1/4 of the library will sync, the the error occurs, and then nothing else syncs.

The iPod/iTunes will also not accept the iOS 5.0 upgrade. The awesome error message there states "an error has occured".


Since the standard tips provided did not work, does anyone know of any other options?


- Re-build the library?

- Uninstall and re-install iTunes?


Any guidance or first hand experience would be very helpful.

Windows Vista Home Premium

iTunes Version 10.5.3

iPod iOS Version 4.3.3
