Group 8 repair?

Hi Group 8 - Kent, UK. Any good for Macbook Pro repair? Thanks

Thanks. Yes - thay are Apple Authorized, and seem to do a lot of UK work for Apple. If fact, AppleCare made the booking for me with them, and they will courier computer there and back with UPS. I had been expecting to take the computer to an Apple store, but AppleCare said these guys are trained by Apple to the same level (so i hope all will be OK) - I wanted to know if anyone had had experience with them.

Hey hercule, applecare have arranged for my macbook pro to be collected, repaired and returned by Group 8 as well. How did you'r service go with them? I'm a bit reluctant to send it away, but the apple shop couldnt find a problem on my mac which I suspect is hardware - so a woman from apple care suggested Group 8. I am currently awaiting pickup by UPS now.

Group8 did a wonderful job in repairing my MacBook Pro. Very professional. UPS picked up my computer 10am on Monday and returned it good as new 10am on Friday. I have no hesitation in recommending Group8 - don't worry about sending it there (I'm very protective towards my computer!). Keep in telephone contact with them to follow progress (0845 370 1888 - I spoke with Sabrina & David M.). Please let me know how you get on.

That sounds brilliant, thanks for the info. Unfortunately UPS just dropped my packaging for the macbook in the despatch area of our company, so I couldnt return the package with the macbook! Waiting today now for them to pickup it up after giving them instructions to call in reception for it. Fingers crossed they will, won't be suprised if they don't though. Yeah, it is Sabrina who i've been talking to. I hope they can find the problem with the mac!

Are they an Apple Authorized Service Provider? If not, then don't go there.
