Q: Macbook-Air connect to TV direct HDMI / Won't Play

I have my macbook pro connected to my tv via HDMI.  Nothing playing? Just a static pic...How do I get the video thats playing on the macbook air on the tv?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

    That's extended desktop mode.  Just grab the app and drag it off the right side of the MB screen.  It will appear on the TV.

     

    Visit the System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement tab for other options.

    I am also having the same problem. when i connect my macbook air to my led tv it wont work. i could not findthe arrangement tab on my system preference. how do i make it appear again? thanks

    System Preferences:Display should detect the external monitor. From there you can try some different refresh rates and resolutions. I ilke to check the "show displays in menu bar" so that I can change resolution in one step.
