Plugged ipad into computer and lost everything and no WI-FI

My ipad was working just fine until I connected it to my computer. Little did I know when I went to use it, it had literally wiped itself out. I'm trying to reset but it doens't allow me to get on wi=fi. The option isn't even lit, it is grayed out. I've done a reset and my cable is working fine. Any suggestions?

An iPad is designed to only be synced with one computer at a time, so if you did connect it to a new computer then you are likely to lose all your content - though if you copy your music, apps, films etc onto it you should be able to re-sync them to the iPad. If you still have the computer that you used to sync to, then have you tried re-connecting to that and restoring to your last backup and see if that copies your content back to the iPad and gets wifi working on it ?
