Somehow I lost my library, could I uninstall then re-install to get it back?

Assuming that you mean the 'Library' pane in the Arrange area (?), you need to be aware that it is contextual. What you see in the Library depends on what you have selected elsewhere.
Try selecting a track in the Arrange, and click on the "Settings" button at the top of that track's channel strip in the Inspector (so that the Settings box has a white frame around it).
