What do you mean "how delete function works"? If you are typing a sentence and hit the delete key, it will work in a backspace manner so it can delete what you have typed.

If you're a Windoze user, and, by some very remote chance, you're asking how to do ⌦ (forward delete) on a MacBook Pro keyboard, the answer is fn⌫ (fn-delete).
