Windows cannot find C:\Program Files (x86)itunes.exe.I have tryed running as admin and uninstalling all apple programs and reinstalling It worked a couple of days ago...please help

I have found today 03/03/2012 that itunes will not open and windows cannot find C:\Program Files (x86) itunes.exe it was workin fine a couple of days ago . I have tryed uninstalling all apple programs and support and reinstalling itunes on windows 7 ultimate 64bit but it will not find it and it is there ..please help Thanks fellow applers

This is a bit too close to a message I'm familiar with that can indicate a hijack on the PC. So just in case I think we'd better try a malware scan.


Try downloading and installing the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Update your MBAM definitions and then run a full scan of the PC. (Takes about 2 hours on my Lenovo.)

Does the scan find any infections? If so, please paste the contents of the log file for the scan in a reply here so we can have a look.
