Just upgraded to Lion and I am no longer able to open Excel or Word. It is giving me a message about not supporting WordPC files.
Is this correct? Can I pay for an upgrade or do I have to pay for a whole new Office pack?

Lion does not support Power PC applications. You will have to upgrade office.

The information that Lion would not support PPC applications has been widely available for over a year, free alternatives to upgrading Office exist, checkout Open Office or Libre Office.
