Started the process about 2 hours ago. Would like some input, so I know what to expect. It's a new phone, so pics, music. A few apps and 200 contacts.

The Restore should take 15 minutes. The sync after you restore will depend on how much music you have and how large the apps are.

its only a rest shouldnt take long....if the screen has frozen or on a standstill just reboot it
power button and home buttom till the apple logo comes on the screen.....then try again prehaps

I took your advice and held the power and home button. It reset just fine but when it opened back up nothing was reset. And I waited 2 hours after requesting the reset
