Q: aperture 2 lost serial number?

I am in the middle of building a new macbook pro after a catastrophic failure of the previous hard drive.  I have been using Aperture since v2 and upgraded to 3.0 via a disc upgrade.  The original disc and serial number is missing and the current download won't register the upgrade serial number without the original.  Can anyone help to point me in the right direction for contacting the right support area at Apple, because I have made several attempts, but have had no luck so far in recovering the original codes.
