Q: i want the leopard operating system, how can i have it?

i have tiger operating system in my macbook and i want the leopard, but i cant find a link or something to download it, how can i? doeas someone have an idea about how download leopard?

There is no free or paid download of any OS X system version below Lion OS 10.7. Apple does provide free downloads of updates to the base OS X.

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard installation system requirements

Leopard is no longer available at the Apple Store but may be available by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753).

If you can't obtain a retail install DVD from Apple, look on eBay or Google the installer part numbers to possibly find at an on-line store. Here's what to look for:

MB427Z/A Leopard 10.5.1 install DVD

MB576Z/A Leopard 10.5.4 install DVD

MB021Z/A Leopard 10.5.6 install DVD (single user)

MB022Z/A Leopard 10.5.6 install DVD (5-user family pack)

Caution - Leopard does not support classic mode. So, if you currently open OS 9 apps in classic mode, you won't be able to do this if you upgrade to Leopard.

Apple no longer sells Leopard. They sell Snow Leopard and Lion. Try buying it from a third party like eBay or Amazon.

Leopard requirements/10.5.x...

    * Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor

minimum system requirements

    * 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)
    * DVD drive for installation
    * 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
Trouble is Apple no longer sells it, check eBay & such for the Retail version, not the Gray Discs...

haa and i cant update the os to snow because first i have to have the leopard..and leopard its not free, but apple doesnt sell it, and i have to download it from a third party that maybe would not be safe??
unbelievable!! so if you dont keep buying things from apple, then they forget you and even doesnt care about you?

so you buy everything new that apple makes??? well, i dont spend thousands of dollars every year, i dont like to spend my money, at least one thousand $, in aluminium, copper and other materials that actually cost a hundred dollars maybe less. and the workers (chinese) are payed with few dollars, is it fair?.. well i dont waste the money because i know how hard its to get!
