My keyboard appears right in the middle of the screen. How do I lower it to the bottom of the screen.

There is a key on the iPad keyboard to move where it is positioned.

It is the very bottom right key, image of a keyboard with an arrow. You can press and hold it and it will give you the option to dock it back where you're used to it.

You can also dock/undock the key board (move it up/down) by flicking a finger on the key board button. You can split and merge the key board by flicking or pinching two fingers also.

very helpful - I couldn't dock it, but flicking the keyboard downward on the arrow worked.
