Does AirPlay support mirroring of iPod Touch w/ iOS 5?

Only iPhone 4S and iPad 2 are mentioned in the AirPlay support docs. I do not own an Apple TV unit. I'm just researching my options for mirroring and may want to mirror my iPod Touch to my TV or computer monitor w/out jailbreaking the device.

The only reason I ask is because all of the other similar questions/answers that I found to this question were not for the newest iPod Touch w/ iOS 5. Just wanted to make sure that they didn't add support in the lastest iPod Touch that came out in Q4 2011.

I'm a developer and thought it would be useful to have the device displayed on my second monitor at my workstation as I develop and test mobile designs and coding for iOS. Probably not a big deal, but just wanted to see what was possible. Thanks.

No Apple have limited it to iPad 2 and iPhone 4S currently.

It may or may not be a processing power issus - I suspect mirroring uses a VNC type connection for screen sharing requiring compression of the display bitmp by the device, whereas standard Airplay tends to push media already rendered in an AppleTV compatible format to the unit.
